Mr. Corvin Brawley

Corvin Thomas Brawley the son of Pearl Brawley was born November 9, 1918 at The Wilderness, in Carter County, Missouri. Corvin passed away at his home on Sunday, May 13, 2012 making his age 93 years 6 months and 4 days.

Corvin was united in marriage to Bessie Mae Tuttle on September 27, 1939, and to their union two children were born, Janett Pauline and Corvin Dale. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Summersville. He and Bessie were baptized March 30, 1956. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He liked to recollect of hunting, fishing, farming and working, with the public in his shop that he ran for 40 plus years.

He is preceded in death by his mother Pearl Lampkins, step-father Charles Lampkins, brothers and sister, Orval, Georgia, Delmar and Dewey and son-in-law Roy Burrows.

Surviving are his wife Bessie of the home in Summersville, daughter Janett Burrows, son Dale Brawley and wife Denise all of Summersville, Missouri, five grandchildren, Paula Sue Sykes and husband Randy of West Plains, Missouri, Connie Lynn Burrows of Nixa, Missouri, Regina Brawley, Rebecca Kirkman and husband Jon, Cory Brawley and wife Brenda all of Summersville, Missouri, five great grandchildren, Randy Joel Sykes and wife Daniela of Kileen, Texas, Kimberly Sykes of West Plains, Missouri, Morgan Brawley, Karen Kirkman, Daniel Brawley all of Summersville, Missouri, two great great grandchildren, Zachary Sykes of Kileen, Texas, and Ashlyn Melton of West Plains, Missouri. Corvin is also survived by one sister Maudlyn Fries of Warrensburg, Missouri, two brothers, Arnold Lampkins of Scyamore Illinois, Donald Lampkins and wife Donna of Scyamore, Illinois and host of other family members.

Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Boyd and Rev. Herbert Tuttle officiating. Interment and Military Honors will be at Flatrock Cemetery under the care of Bradford Funeral Home of Summersville.
